Pete Townshend

Pete Townshend is the bestselling author of Who I Am and legendary lead guitarist and principal songwriter for The Who. His career with The Who, as well as his work as a solo artist, spans six decades, during which he has been the driving force behind one of the most powerful, inventive, and articulate bodies of work in rock and roll. He has also written newspaper and magazine articles, book reviews, essays, books, and scripts. Townshend was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and he has received many awards, including a Grammy in 1994 for The Who’s Tommy and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
